Mayor Charlie Langlinais, members of the Broussard City Council and other city officials gathered today to officially break ground on the $27 million dollar St. Julien Park. The park is expected to be one of the premier recreation and athletic facilities in Louisiana, once it is completed.
“Today marks the official beginning of a dream for myself, City Council and the citizens of Broussard, who voted to build this park. It will provide decades of enjoyment for thousands of people and be good for businesses, who will be supported by the large number of visitors to the park,” said Langlinais.
The first phase of St. Julien Park is expected to be completed by late spring/early summer of 2015.
